Milk Separator Cleaning and Reassembly: A Practical Daily Checklist

A consistent cleaning routine protects the milk-contact path and makes the next batch easier to start. This checklist uses the care points already published for ANDUUK separators: rinse promptly, avoid abrasive tools, inspect the bowl and discs, and confirm compatibility before replacing a part.

1. Rinse before residue dries

After separation, rinse the bowl, discs, receiver, seals, and outlets with warm water. Milk residue should not be left to dry because hardened protein and fat are more difficult to remove without aggressive scrubbing.

Use a cleaner intended for dairy equipment and follow its label for dilution, contact time, and rinsing. Avoid steel wool, unknown concentrated acids, and unsuitable chlorine-rich products unless compatibility is confirmed for the component and its finish.

2. Inspect the milk-contact path

Check the bowl rim, seal seat, disc edges, center openings, receiver, and outlet transitions. Look for dried residue, burrs, deep scratches, discoloration, cracks, or other visible damage. A polished surface is useful for cleaning, but it does not replace material documentation.

Keep the disc pieces separated while they air-dry. A cleaning rack can help prevent moisture and residue from remaining trapped between surfaces.

3. Check seals and moving interfaces

Inspect silicone sealing rings and gaskets for cracks, flattening, loss of elasticity, or residue. Confirm that the seal matches the bowl or receiver assembly before fitting it. If a replacement is needed, send the model, assembly, photos, and key dimensions for compatibility confirmation.

Do not force a similar-looking gasket or outlet part into place. A correct match is more useful than a quick substitution that changes the seal or milk path.

4. Reassemble with the model record nearby

Before starting the motor, confirm that the bowl, disc stack, outlets, and locking hardware are clean, dry, and correctly positioned. Keep the model, voltage, and bowl assembly information with the maintenance record so future orders can be matched to the same machine.

For a replacement, use the ANDUUK parts catalog and review the technical document checklist when the order also requires model, material, or inspection records.

Daily checklist

  • Milk residue rinsed promptly from all milk-contact parts.
  • Cleaner label and component compatibility checked.
  • Bowl, discs, seals, receiver, and outlets inspected.
  • Discs separated for complete air-drying.
  • Model and voltage recorded for replacement inquiries.
  • Machine reassembled only after parts are clean and dry.

If you need help matching a seal, disc, outlet, or bowl component, contact ANDUUK with the machine model, voltage, photos, and dimensions.
