What to include in your inquiry
- Destination country, and the port or postal code if shipping is required.
- Local voltage and frequency, so the correct electrical configuration can be quoted.
- Whole-milk volume per batch and how much time you want to spend processing.
- Whether you need a trial unit, a repeat order, or a distributor quantity.
- Whether you need OEM marking, packaging, or documentation for a specific market.
- For replacement parts: the machine model, the part or assembly name, photos, and key measurements.
What to send with a machine inquiry
A separator is quoted against an electrical configuration and a working volume, so a request that states both can be answered directly. Include:
- Destination country, and the port or postal code if the machine has to be shipped.
- Local supply voltage and frequency, and the plug type in use.
- Whole-milk volume per batch, and how long you want a batch to take.
- Whether this is a first unit, a repeat order, or a distributor quantity.
- Any labelling, packaging or documentation your market requires.
If the machine has to match equipment you already run, say so and send a photograph of the existing unit — a matching answer depends on what is already on site.
What to send with a parts inquiry
Parts are matched to an assembly, not to a description. A workable request carries the machine model or a photograph of the model label, the part or assembly name and where it sits, a photograph as fitted and one removed and cleaned, measurements taken after cleaning with any marking on the part, and the quantity needed.
The parts inquiry checklist lists the same items in the order they are checked, and the model identification guide covers what to do when the label is unreadable.
Questions worth asking any supplier
Ask for the answers in writing on the quotation so the comparison is between comparable offers: the exact model designation and its rated capacity, the electrical configuration supplied, the materials of the parts that contact milk, which documents are included and which are not, and how a replacement part is matched to the assembly.
What we cannot answer from a single message
- Parts compatibility without an identification — a photograph of the outside of the machine does not establish which assembly is fitted.
- Import duty and local taxes — these depend on the destination, the classification used and the importing entity, and should be confirmed with your customs broker.
- Whether a used machine is worth buying — the condition of a specific machine has to be established on site; the used-machine inspection guide sets out what to check.
What happens next
The sales team confirms the model, the electrical version, the documents that can be provided and the applicable commercial terms, then prepares the quotation. For replacement parts, compatibility with your assembly is checked before an order is prepared.
Before you order
Ask for the model, rated capacity, electrical details, milk-contact materials, included documents and commercial terms to be stated in writing. For parts, confirm that the replacement matches your exact machine assembly rather than a similar-looking component.
